SNOW!

New Blog...Revisited

I'm going to try this again...

It's an additional blog, this one isn't going anywhere. My goal (resolutions never get me anywhere...) for 2010 is to take a picture a day. I've read of some others on this project 365 - you can too, here . I'd like to document our life this year in pictures and as a bonus, I'll get to improve my photography skills. It will start on 1 January - at least the picture taking will...

You can follow it too at www.savoieproject365.blogspot.com

Hockey Player?

This has the potential to get me a lot of questions…

Matt & I ran out to run errands yesterday morning and when we got home, Nana said “Did Nick have a broken tooth?” He had a chipped tooth or one that looked chipped and I chalked it up to his surgery. So I told her yes and said just that. She said – NO, this is one of the front ones. So, I tied the little squirmer down and looked at his tooth – there’s ¼ of it gone.

I spent the better part of the afternoon looking for a local dentist (on a Saturday of a holiday weekend) to answer the phone. All their answering machines say, “if this is a true dental emergency…” – I had no idea if this was a true dental emergency. I ended up getting ahold of our dentist back home and he assures me that there is probably nothing to worry about since Nick is eating and drinking just fine. He seems a little sensitive to cold, so I’ll get him in with Mom & Dad’s dentist, hopefully Monday.

Matt keeps saying he looks like a hockey player…you can decide!

Merry Christmas

Twas the night ending Christmas, when all thru the dwelling,

Nary a sound came from the boys – especially not yelling.

Excitement we had all day long with all the joys that we found

Even if the weather left us feeling a little let down

Toys are strewn thru the house from one end to the other

Hard to tell if Santa’s were better than ones from Daddy & Mother

Quietly the day comes to a halt

We think Christmas this year went off without fault

A good time those boys had…I’m sure you’d bet

This could be their greatest Christmas yet

Some pictures you’ll find in this email

Their excitement should make you smile without fail

We send our wishes to family and friends far and near

Merry Christmas to All – and a Jolly New YEAR!

Christmas Day

Santa successfully found the Savoie Boys at Nana & Pawpaw’s house last night. Surprisingly, Jake slept in until 730 – which was GREAT! We held him off on opening presents until we had breakfast in the oven and woke everyone else up. He was a good sport. So we woke up Nick and Uncle Joe and got the party started…for round two. Santa made some great choices and we have some happy boys!

Christmas Eve

We had a great Christmas and we were lucky that Uncle Joe could visit us during the festivities. We successfully got the boys down for naps and were able to attend 4pm Mass without much issue – the boys were amazingly well behaved. We came home and had some present opening, dinner and more present opening. The adults then played with Nana & Pawpaw’s new Wii…which could only happen after we got the little people to sleep – which took over an hour. Whew – they finally crashed…

Here are some shots from Christmas Eve…

Special Present

Nana & Pawpaw had a special present waiting for Jake & Nick when we returned from Ohio. It’s a Power Wheels Gator – and the boys enjoy it immensely. They’ve driven it to the park, played at the park and then drove it home. Today, in fact, on Christmas Day – we missed out on most of the snow, but it was 34 degrees and the wind is howling. It’s thinking about snowing…but the boys had to go outside and drive it. We made a quick run down the cul de sac and came right back in.
