Living Room - yes, that is our "moving bed" - it was so hot in here yesterday with the air having been off and trying to catch up we slept in the coolest place we could find - then it became the sofa - our only living room furniture

Named for 1LT Smith KIA in 1855(?) - fittingly, a cav soldier

They call it a sunroom - I call it a playroom - SWEET!

If you don't mind an airmattress and two wild boys - come visit!

Changed again...

We had the best laid plan complete with forwarding address and had actually started forwarding some stuff there. We had every intention of moving into that little house in Leavenworth, KS...

Then we got there...

It was way smaller than advertised and therefore expected. It had a couple of potential safety issues and there were decorating issues we could have lived with for just 10 mos.

Mom and I arrived first with the boys...and I wasn't over the moon. The more we looked, the more we saw. Our movers finished loading in like 6 hours - we were amazed. So Matt drove up Wednesday evening/night and we went to look at the house together (I had already warned him we might have an issue or 12...) at 1030 PM!

We checked out on post housing. They were SUPER nice - put us right back on the list where we belonged (when we declined housing last week...) and off we went to look at these homes. They are old - 100 years old and historic. As we walked to the 2nd house we were sold instantly when we saw that across the street there is a park - a whole playground area. It feels bigger than it probably is and we're still working out the functionality of it - but it was already a much better decision.

I promise to post pics and send everyone our new address!!

Ceramics with Jake

Jake had been wanting a piggy bank. I took him to a ceramics shop here in town and it turned out to be one of the greatest adventures we have had. I had the camera – but it has no battery. The owner of this wonderful shop brought her camera in and took these great shots. It was so much fun, we went back this last week and painted a fire truck bank.

Water Table

We love to play at the water table!

Little Gym

Our Saturday ritual has been to attend Little Gym with the boys. We all have a great time and we are going to miss Ms. Erin TONS!

We ARE TEXAS!

Daddy got the boys matching shirts!
