March for Babies

Everyday, I'm thankful for our two healthy, happy boys! March of Dimes is a big reason that our boys turned out healthy and full-term with all of their research and recommendations.

We have decided to participate in the March for Babies again this year. We are a little late in deciding to participate - since it's this Saturday - but we feel it is important and well worth our time.

You may have noticed there is a link on the right hand side of the blog, if you'd like to support our walk. We'd greatly appreciate it!

We hope all of our friends and family who are expecting (even those who aren't now, but will be some day...) are lucky enough to bring home healthy, happy babies, too!

Nana & Pawpaw's visit

Nana & Pawpaw came to visit. It worked out well, because Matt & I had a ball to attend the night they arrived. (I forgot the camera – so no pics of that, sorry…) Nana & Pawpaw took the boys to spend the night at the hotel with them and they enjoyed swimming in the hotel pool, remembered how much fun it is to take toddlers out to eat when there are long lines (and ended right back up at Dc Donalds) and had a great time with Jake & Nick – who, apparently, missed us NONE.

Nana had found some cute outfits for the boys – one of them matching. They were a HIT at school on Monday. The pics don’t really do it justice – which is why Mommy should take pics when they’re still quasi-comatose in the morning. If you can see Nick’s shoes…they were Jake’s in the Summer of 07. Nick found them last weekend and decided he liked them. He doesn’t really like us to take them off of him and if I ask him to go get his shoes – he comes up with those every time. My smart boys….

Jake – get in the picture with Nick…

Obviously, I’m not going to get the shot I was hoping for…

Cute Nick Shots

This was Easter Sunday – apparently, Nick was in a good mood! I don't remember where Jake was - judging from the time stamp - he was still snoozing...

Sweet Shot April 11 2009

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter, Everyone!

We are enjoying a relaxing weekend!! Saturday, we dyed Easter Eggs – Nick was able to participate this year. AND we were lucky enough to be able to do it outside. I’m not sure what will happen next Easter at Ft. Leavenworth…we’ve been kindda spoiled.

We have tickets to a baseball game for Sunday, so we did our big dinner Saturday evening – Turkey and fixings. It may be the first meal I didn’t have to make mac – o – cheese or chicken nuggets for the toddler set. We all ate the same thing.

We had egg hunting this morning with high winds and it was just about to rain. The boys did well. (They both had a blast at their egg hunts at school, too!!) We came back in to our Easter baskets just in time for the thunderstorms to roll in. So…we think we’re outta luck for the baseball game today. We’ll have pigs in a blanket at home instead. I’m sure Daddy can find us baseball on TV…

Happy Easter!

Love,

Chris, Matt, Jake & Nick

Easter Party

I’ll do my best to remember the camera tomorrow with everything I need to take with us, for the boys’ Easter Parties.

Tonight, I had to make & decorate cupcakes, cook a ham; and get everything together for the boys.

I started the frosting at 10:19

Here is the finished product for Nick’s class

They didn’t turn out exactly like they were in my head, but I think they’re cute. I’ve decided that I’m pretty fond of mini-cupcakes!

Daddy's Late Night

Daddy had to work a little later on Tuesday Night. So, the boys get to eat in the kitchen while I’m cooking for Matt & me – everyone’s happy!

Nick was mimicking my goofy “make-the-boy” smile faces. It worked on me…

And Jake was showing the many faces of Jake!

Then we colored and put stickers in our new sticker book (Jake) while Mommy & Daddy ate dinner.

At home with Mommy

Since Nick was sick on Monday, we stayed home in the morning. We eventually had to go to work/school since he was better than he had been – but it was fun being home. Here are some of the many faces of Sweet Baby Nick. He’s gotten much better. (Oh and note the haircut - it's a little shorter than I really wanted...but he's still pretty cute!)

Last one for tonight

Playtime – the boys having fun. It was jammy day for Jake and Nick wore a diaper, shirt and no pants because I didn’t feel like cleaning out that many pairs of pants. J Hopefully he’s all better tomorrow – we’ll be stopping for the staples of the BRATY diet tomorrow – I’ll have him so fixed he won’t go for a WEEK! I washed his sheets 5 times this weekend and his bed friends 3 times before I decided they weren’t going back in the bed – except for Best Friend, Bear Bear…

I was working in the kitchen when I heard these hysterical giggles from the living room where they had been watching Cars
