Pictureless Monday

Just a couple of updates - for which there are no pictures.

The boys had to have a physical in order to be enrolled in Child Youth Services - which does everything from day care (they even have Parents' Nite out...) to sports. We took the boys in last week. Jake is 38 3/4 inches and a hair over 33 lbs. Nick is 35 3/4 inches and a hair over 30 lbs. Nick is in the 97th percentile for height...and I think it's all in his torso. Poor kid - half of his shirts are belly shirts - baring his midrift. Jake was in the 68th.

We had told Jake he was going to the Army doctor - because our pediatrician in Little Rock had fish in the waiting room and he was ready to see the fish. They both had to have a vaccination booster and when we left, Jake told us the "soldier" hurt him.

They both needed haircuts and so did Daddy, so we all went for hair cuts (well, not Mommy...). Jake did a good job getting his hair cut at the Army place - where the soldiers get their hair cut. Luckily for Mommy, there were actual soldiers in uniform there to reinforce the fact that soldiers get their hair cut there. Nick had to sit on Mommy's lap, but did a great job!

We have Jake officially signed up for soccer. He will have a great time.

We bought both boys new shoes last night. Jake was getting his on this morning to go sign up for soccer and Nick ran right over, found his and tried to put them on over his footed jammies. He wasn't thrilled when he realized that wasn't going to happen.

That's all I can think of for now. We're having a great time settling in with all of our new friends. Jake and Nick are lucky to have friends right out the front door and we go to the park 2-4 times a day depending on what's been going on.
