Potty Training
I moved on to Jake and asked him if he had to go pee pee in the potty. He said pee pee in the potty and then said "no, pee pee on floor" - I said not on the floor - let's go to the potty. He took off, his little naked self, and ran to the kitchen giggling. I went to open the bathroom door when I heard "tinkle tinkle" on the kitchen floor.
As I enter, there is Jake, standing buck naked (which is why there is no picture of this...)in the kitchen aiming himself all over my kitchen floor and laughing with GLEE!
He was quite proud of himself and didn't calm down for the rest of the morning!

Mmmmmmm!!!
The boys have both been a little off. Day Care says there is something going around – all the kids either are, or have been, acting off. Nick has had a touch of that and a touch of teething so he hasn’t wanted to eat much. Tonight was a little better…until he realized how much fun it was to smear it all over! I guess he’s feeling more jovial, at least!!
Big Boy Bed
After our return from Phoenix, Jake had kind of a rough re-adjustment period. He was waking up several times a night. I wish I had a picture of his crib before – the kid must have had 20 animals in there and not small ones, either. There were several as big as or bigger than HIM! On a particularly rough night, I decided it was time to graduate to the toddler bed. I wanted to hold off on this until Kansas when we were all on the same floor…but he was climbing out all the time, anyway, so I figured, why not. So, one night, I changed it over while he played. We had just a couple more rough nights and now we’re getting better. At least we don’t scream when it’s time to bed any more…

Poor Jake
When we put Jake to bed on Saturday, he had a faint little rash. We weren’t too concerned – Sunday, he woke up and it was worse. We called the doctor’s office and they said that some kids have that after being on amoxicillin and it has to do with how their bodies break down the bacteria. Jake had never been on antibiotics – so we didn’t know.
Monday, when he woke up, he looked scary! Poor guy! He’s better now – the pictures are from Monday!
My little Monkey
Our living room rearrangement combined with Nick’s determination has yielded him some perfect climbing opportunities. He stole Jake’s Pat the Hammer (from the Handy Manny tool set) and scurried away, climbed and hung out on the sofa before Jake noticed.
Then Daddy got home, so he had to climb down and go greet him!
Playing together
I LOVE the times that they play together. It happens more frequently and it’s especially fun when they get to giggling. I’ll have to try to get a video to post of that…because there is NOTHING better in the world – not even chocolate! J Nick is still an antagonist and bides his time for when they are not playing anymore or he decides they need a change of game and then he goes in and makes Jake mad – knowing he’s making Jake mad.
See their faces below – glee on Nick’s as he’s upsetting whatever their doing and disdain on Jake’s as he realizes Nick is breaking with whatever they WERE doing!
