Okay, in case you stumble across this and don't know who we are:
We are the Savoie's from Texas. We have been married since June 2000. We moved to Texas in 2001 and promptly declared ourselves Texans.
Matt is in the Army and completed 2 back-to-back tours to Iraq from 2004 to 2006. In May 2006, we welcomed our first son, Jake. He was about as much of a surprise as one can get. Especially since I said I wouldn't be doing that alone - I was quite on board with deployments, but there was a limit... I had been the office manager for evasells.com since Jan 2002.
Matt returned in November 2006 from Iraq (2nd tour) with news that we'd have to leave our beloved Texas. And, what fun...we're going to Arkansas. He moved in April 2007, while I stayed behind under the guise of selling the house. Jake & I liked it there. Shortly before HIS move here, we found out about son #2. In the end, I was able to procrastinate the move of Jake, me & all our stuff until after Nick's arrival.
Nick arrived 30 October - his own kind of surprise since the CSection was scheduled for 5 November. After recovering and spending one last holiday in TX, the boys & I moved 1 December to Arkansas.
I'm still not impressed, almost 2 weeks later. We're settling in, somewhat. Part of the deal this move is I don't have to work (as long as the house sells...soon...). So, I'm trying the stay at home Mom thing. Right now, it still feels like vacation - since this isn't home. We're trying to find some common ground - both of our boys love their mommy and want mommy time. I'm only one mommy. We plan to not have to stay too long - sometime in 2009, we'll be "on our bikes" again.
Please visit periodically. I plan on updating pics and antics of the boys regularly - notice, I didn't say frequently or often! :)
Chris
